This ranch is located 30 miles South of Limon, Colorado with Highway 94 cutting it in ½ from West to East. The headquarters is located at the NW end of the ranch with gravel road access. The land is level to rough and is cut from northwest to southeast by 2 branches of South Rush Creek, providing good stock water through the ranch. The grassland on the ranch consists of primarily Buffalo grass with Blue Grama grass and other taller grasses which come early in the Spring. The grain rate on the 1050 yearling cattle has ranged from 2.1 to 2.4 lbs. per day for the past 5 years -- according to the ranch foreman.
The ranch headquarters is modest but functional with adequate holding and sorting corrals for the yearling operation. The bungalow home offers a good residence for guests or hired ranch hands. Mineral rights on some of the ranch are also available!
