Hayden Outdoors, LLC is a family-owned and operated real estate brokerage that opened its doors in 1976, and is based in Windsor, Colorado. With over 165+ brokers and agents across 25 states and growing, Hayden Outdoors is recognized as one of the largest land brokerages in the country. Hayden Outdoors has also been named as one of the “Best Brokerages” every year since 2011 by The Land Report Magazine and recently by the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies. Hayden Outdoors will continue to put down roots in areas that already border their current footprint and will bring its full real estate services to all states that align with the firm’s future strategic plans.

Dax Hayden Recognized as top National Commercial Award Winner

Now with over 100 agents in the company and licensed in 10 states, Dax is recognized as one of America’s top real estate brokers..

Hayden Grand Opening in Windsor, CO

Expansion into a prime location on Main St. offers more space for marketing, film and sales team and better location for traffic.

2016

Hayden Outdoors celebrates 40 years

Hayden Outdoors celebrates 40 years of specializing in rural real estate.

2013

Auction of Historic Clover Cliff Ranch in Flint Hills of Kansas

With a team of internal marketing and auction professionals, Hayden Outdoors land massive historic Auction and sells without flaw and over 150 people present.

2011

Sale of historic Dunne Valley Ranch in Kansas

The second major sale for the Hayden team pushes their recognition among large landowners that they know land and know real estate enough to sell big ranches.

2008

Sale of famous Box Ranch in Kansas

One of our first significant sales in North America helps to launch more marketing and advertising.

2006

Joined Cabela's Trophy Properties membership

“Three Guys in a Truck” drive across Kansas to meet with Cabela’s ownership in Sydney , NE and sign on as members of their new real estate marketing division.

2006

Hayden Inc. changes to Hayden Outdoors with emphasis on farm, ranch and recreational properties

Naming the company by following their passion for the great outdoors expands their market to include hunting and fishing properties.

2004

Hayden Outdoors opens first Colorado Office at Water Valley

New offices expand the brand and begin to bring on growth in the mountain states, and Dax and Seth base out of Windsor.

2001

Major water sale to McWhinney Developers for Centerra future in Loveland, CO

The team presents a water sale to a new developer and lock down a significant deal that secures building for the largest retail growth center in Northern Colorado.

2001

Dax Hayden joins Hayden Inc. as a partner

Joining the family business, Dax uses his banking background to launch his career in real estate sales.

1999

Seth Hayden joins newly named Hayden Inc. as a partner

After graduating from Kansas State University and a brief stint in Lending, Seth joins his father’s company to sell real estate.

1980

Moved office to Goodland, KS and opened up at 1401 Main St.

Leo and Judy move back to Goodland to raise their children and set up offices, where we still have an office to this day.

1979

Leo sells 5 million acre Australia Ranch

Answering an ad in a local paper to help a ranch sell, Leo negotiates multiple deals to sell a ranch “Down Under”.

1976

Leo Hayden starts "Property Exchange" and sells Real Estate with Father in Law

Leo needed to find work but wanted to get out of ranching, so he decided to work for a family member selling real estate. He specialized in working with farms and ranches for sale near Hays, Kansas.

1975

Family experiences Cattle die off from snowstorm in Kansas

The Hayden cattle herd of over 500 are almost all wiped out from a massive snow storm in Western Kansas near Goodland.
