Hunting in Oklahoma

They are a big part of the state’s diversity and can be found in the southeastern part of the state. There is a fall and spring season for turkey hunting. The three types that can be found throughout the state are Eastern, Rio Grande and Merriam. Pheasant hunting is from the beginning of December to the end of January.
