I’m Weston Simmons, a ranch and land broker with Hayden Outdoors Real Estate specializing in ranches, recreational properties, hunting land, farms, and rural real estate throughout Southwest Colorado.
My connection to the land goes far beyond real estate. My family has been ranching in Southwest Colorado for generations, and today I help operate our family’s Mountain High Ranch near Hesperus, Colorado. I spend much of my time managing the ranch, improving wildlife habitat, monitoring game populations, maintaining water sources, and doing the everyday work that comes with taking care of the land.
Living this lifestyle has given me a firsthand understanding of what makes a property special. When I walk a piece of land, I’m looking beyond acreage and improvements. I pay attention to wildlife, water, access, terrain, privacy, views, recreational opportunities, and the long-term potential of the property.
Before getting into land and ranch real estate, I spent several years in sales, where I learned the importance of communication, hard work, and taking care of the people I work with. I’ve carried those same values into real estate.
Outside of real estate, you’ll usually find me on the ranch checking trail cameras, working on wildlife and habitat projects, hunting, or simply spending time outdoors. I have a real appreciation for land, wildlife, and the responsibility that comes with taking care of both.
Whether I’m helping someone sell a property that has been in their family for generations or helping a buyer find a place of their own, I want to understand what the land means to them and help them make the right decision.
