Wes Burton was raised in a small farming community in southeast Alabama, where he grew up working on his family’s tomato farm. His early years were spent outdoors—farming, hunting, fishing, and playing sports—which laid the foundation for his lifelong connection to the land and passion for rural living.

While Wes eventually left farming to pursue a successful corporate career as an investment advisor and in risk and compliance, including leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies and fintech startups, his entrepreneurial spirit never wavered. At the age of 23, he purchased his first investment property and began building a real estate portfolio that included farmland, coastal properties and a vacation rental management business on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

A passionate outdoorsman, Wes has traveled across the country for saltwater fishing, elk hunting in the Rocky Mountains, and chasing mature whitetails throughout the Midwest. He also completed extensive training in wildlife and habitat management, with a focus on whitetail deer. This hands-on experience allows him to bring added insight and value to clients looking to buy or sell recreational and hunting land.

Wes’s deep agricultural roots and firsthand understanding of farm transitions—especially in families where the next generation may not wish to carry on the legacy—drives his mission to help protect America’s farmland. Whether working with legacy landowners or first-time buyers pursuing their dream of owning rural property, Wes is passionate about helping people find the right piece of ground to build memories and generational wealth.
