Raised on a horse ranch, Stephen learned the value of hard work and connection to the land at an early age. As a licensed broker and attorney, he has spent his career building a deep understanding of real estate and enjoys using this experience to benefit his clients. First, he farmed hay and trained horses in his youth. Stephen then earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. After college, he spent over ten years managing real assets for a large manufacturing company, including timber, water infrastructure, environmental compliance, and risk management. Stephen went on to earn his law degree at Emory University. He spent another decade practicing law in Colorado, specializing in real estate and transactional law. He shifted his career from law into sales out of a desire to get closer to the land and to follow his passion for helping buyers and sellers realize their real estate goals from inception to closing and beyond.
Stephen’s strengths are rooted in both his practical experience as well as his strategic thinking and ability to envision all of the factors that can affect a transaction or enterprise. As an attorney, he understands the many risks and unique rewards of property ownership and sales, and as a broker associate, he enjoys navigating the complexities of real estate transactions while helping property owners identify and achieve their dreams.
Stephen resides in Colorado with his wife and two children. He is a skilled horseman, private pilot, wilderness first responder, ice climber, and certified rock climbing guide. With many difficult ascents up to 5.13 and over 25 years of technical experience in the mountains, when Stephen is not assisting clients, he can often be found pursuing his mountain craft across the Rocky Mountain region.
