After 28 incredibly successful years with the USPS, Penny Sheldon recently retired to become a full-time real estate agent with Hayden Outdoors. She was a native of Goodland, KS having grown up working on a third-generation family farm, as well as for her fathers crop-dusting business. She was also an active member of 4H, later becoming a club leader and Market Lamb Superintendent while her kids were in the 4H program. In the postal service, she worked her way from mail carrier, retail clerk, to Postmaster before moving to the eastern part of the state in 2013. There she ran the Jayhawk office in Lawrence and then ended her career as the team lead supply chain manager at headquarters in Topeka. A lifelong entrepreneur though, she spent several years managing family hunting lodge Shaps Beaver Creek Ranch plus a liquor store and her very own sign painting and graphic arts business. Today, Penny continues to own and operate the stunning 240-acre Sheldon farming operation in Baldwin City, along with 100 acres in Goodland, and manages residential rental properties she and her husband Shad own. She also greatly enjoys a plethora of outdoor activities, including hiking, running, gardening, fishing and archery hunting.
Pennys most important successes have been being a wife, a mother to a son and daughter (twins), and a very proud Gigi!
