Nathan Smither

Nathan Smither is a licensed Real estate agent in South Dakota. Growing up in Winner, he has always been surrounded by livestock and large pastures. Ever since a young age, Nate has always had a passion for livestock, the land, and hunting. He grew up participating in 4H, where he learned the importance of family, farming, and agriculture. He raised his own cattle alongside his grandpa on his ranch, which taught him to be responsible, and how to work with others to reach a mutual goal. Additionally, he is always helping others, whether it be harvesting, planting, calving, or working cattle. He knows that helping neighbors is just as important. If he isn’t working, he is out hunting. Whether he is planting food plots, or sitting in the deer stand, he is always trying to find time to enjoy the outdoors. Even if he isn’t the one who is pulling the trigger.

After high school, Nate went on to get his Agricultural Science degree at South Dakota State University. While he was there, he built many new relationships and learned about all different kinds of operations across the state. He broadened his knowledge on Agriculture, and how to be a better operator. After college, he created his own LLC being a fertilizer and seed salesman. He wanted to use his experience, as well as what he gained from college, to help others excel in their own operation.

Nate knows that farmers and ranchers have been the caretakers of the land, livestock, and wildlife for generations. They are the people who are committed to conserving this country’s natural resources. He has worked alongside farmers and ranchers and knows the struggles, as well as how important their job is. His goal is to help you and your families continue that tradition of preservation and passion for agriculture for the next generations to come.
