Licensed in Wyoming and Montana, Michael specializes in brokering ranches, recreational / rural properties, agricultural land, and luxury homes. Based in northwest Wyoming, Michael offers his clients a rare blend of professional expertise and personal passion for the land. A lifetime spent hunting, fishing, horseback riding, working with landowners and brokering real estate transactions has given him a deep understanding of Wyoming and Montana’s landscapes, natural resources, and communities. Whether representing a ranch buyer, advising on agricultural operations, or guiding a conservation-minded landowner, Michael provides trusted counsel grounded in experience, integrity, and a genuine connection to the West.
Michael developed a deep connection to the land and a commitment to responsible land management early on while growing up on his family farm. That connection and commitment only strengthened after focusing his studies in Plant, Soils, and Environmental Science at Montana State University in Bozeman. Grounded in a life spent working the land, Michael has volunteered as a tracker for the U.S. Forest Service, guided big-game hunters on horseback through the backcountry, and managed his family’s timberlands in the Southeast. These experiences, combined with decades brokering ranch and land transactions across Montana, have honed his ability to evaluate the landscape with a nuanced eye for market trends, conservation opportunities, and resource management.
Michael joined Hayden Outdoors because of its commitment to honesty, hard work, unparalleled client service, and conservation of the American West. Today, he applies that same ethos to every transaction, helping clients navigate the complexities of ranch and land ownership with clarity and professionalism.
Michael and his wife are raising their three children in the Wapiti Valley, between Cody and Yellowstone’s East Entrance—where he volunteers as a firefighter and with the Shoshone Backcountry Horsemen. When not working with clients or serving his community, Michael is an avid hunter, horseman, skier, and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family in the place he is proud to call home.
