Landry Cogburn was raised on the Great High Plains near Walsh, Colorado, where his family has farmed and ranched for generations. Through his upbringing, he developed not only a lifelong connection to the land but also a deep respect for the values of rural America — hard work, integrity, and community. His involvement in athletics and agricultural activities throughout southeastern Colorado allowed him to build strong, lasting relationships across the region.

With the support of his hometown community, Landry attended Colorado State University, where he competed as a sprinter, hurdler, and decathlete for the CSU Rams from 2012 to 2016. He was a contributing force in helping the Rams win the Mountain West Conference Championship in 2015, while earning a degree in Health and Exercise Science.

Today, as a licensed real estate professional with three years of experience, Landry brings the same drive and dedication to land and ranch brokerage. He specializes in serving clients across Colorado and New Mexico, seeking to bring value back to the communities and landscapes that shaped him.

Landry is also a passionate conservationist, avid outdoorsman, and experienced big game hunting guide. He has a deep love for the land and is committed to regenerating health across our soils, crops, livestock, and native wildlife. He believes the best way to preserve the land is to help others connect with it — whether that’s through a real estate investment or the unforgettable experience of hearing a bull elk scream across a canyon.

“There’s nothing quite like calling in a big bull elk — except calling one in for someone who’s never experienced it before. That kind of experience connects people to the land in a way they never forget.”

At the center of Landry’s life and mission is his wife Olivia — his greatest teammate and closest friend. Olivia is a fellow track and field alum, having competed for the University of Arkansas, where she earned a degree in Environmental Water and Soil Science. She later earned her master’s from Kansas State University and has been a source of constant inspiration in Landry’s pursuit of sustainability, stewardship, and soil health. Her passion for ecology perfectly complements Landry’s love of the land, and together they are committed to fostering a life and career that serves people, preserves the land, and promotes lasting value.

For Landry, helping people experience and appreciate the outdoors is a lifelong pursuit — and he believes there’s no better place to do that than with the Hayden Outdoors team.
