Kris was born and raised in rural central Illinois, where he spent his childhood enjoying all things outdoors and playing sports. As a child, Kris grew up hunting deer, turkey, and pheasants throughout central Illinois and North Dakota. His most fond memories growing up were times spent outdoors with his dad from whom he learned the importance of being a steward of the land. As his passion for hunting grew, he dreamed of owning a farm and property that he could manage and develop into the ideal habitat to support his love for wildlife.

His passion for sports drove him to play football at St. Ambrose University where he majored in Business Management and Finance. Upon graduating, Kris spent 6 years in the retail industry as a District Manager before being promoted to a Director of Warehouse and Logistics and serving the same corporation for another 8 years. As Kris developed his professional career, he started growing his personal real estate portfolio and quickly realized his enjoyment for residential, agricultural and recreational real estate. This led Kris and his wife, along with their two golden retrievers, to relocate to their current farm in western Illinois. After finding home in the Quad City area, Kris left the corporate environment to pursue his passion for farming and real estate full time. Beyond his day to day responsibilities around the farm, Kris enjoys making custom, live edge slabs from salvaged timber and building classic cars.

From his sports teams and his business experience, Kris values his knowledge in working and collaborating with people. He is proud to join the Hayden Outdoors team and is eager to work hard to provide a great experience in selling or finding the property you have been looking for!
