James Massie is a licensed real estate agent and land specialist with Hayden Outdoors, serving clients across Colorado and Wyoming. He focuses on farm, ranch, and recreational properties — helping clients find not just land, but lifestyle.

James was raised in the agricultural heart of southern New Mexico, known for its world-famous Hatch green Chile and deep-rooted outdoor traditions. Growing up on his family’s farm, he developed a love for wide open spaces, hunting, horses, and time well spent with friends and family. These early values of hard work and community stuck with him. After earning his degree in Business from New Mexico State University, James spent 16 years project managing major technology infrastructure projects for Fortune 500 clients, including American Airlines, Charter Communications, and Royal Dutch Shell. In 2020, he shifted full-time into real estate, combining his corporate professionalism with his lifelong understanding of land.

Today, James brings a unique combination of technical precision, hands-on land knowledge, and client-first service to every transaction. He’s known for his integrity, his straight-shooter approach, and a deep understanding of both the land and the people who own it. Now based in Berthoud, Colorado, James is an active community member and servant leader. He currently serves as President of the Berthoud Wrestling Alumni Association and is closely involved with youth athletics, conservation, and local traditions.
