James Mansfield is a seasoned real estate professional with 39 years of experience, specializing in farm, ranch, recreational, and rural residential properties. A Colorado native, James and his wife reside in the scenic Centennial Valley west of Laramie, Wyoming, at the base of the Snowy Mountain Range.
James shares a deep appreciation for the Wyoming outdoors with his wife, and together they enjoy hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding, skiing, and canoeing. Their home base provides both easy access to and intimate knowledge of the southern Wyoming and northern Colorado farm and ranch markets. He works closely with Jaci Cole, a Centennial-based Hayden Outdoors agent who specializes in rural residential, hunting, waterfront, and timberland properties.
Prior to joining Hayden Outdoors, James built an extensive real estate career encompassing commercial brokerage, development, investment sales, and brokerage management. His past roles include:
Managing Broker of Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors — Colorado’s largest privately held commercial brokerage, where he oversaw over $5 billion in transaction volume across more than 50 brokers.
Market Leader of Cushman & Wakefield’s Denver office, representing top institutional clients.
Director of Leasing for Brookfield Properties, leasing premier office assets including Republic Plaza, Denver’s tallest building.
Development Executive with Opus Northwest, delivering commercial, industrial, multi-family, and retail projects across the Denver metro area.
James has also served in numerous industry leadership roles, including:
President, NAIOP Denver Chapter (650 members)
Membership Chair, CU Real Estate Center
Chair, Downtown Denver Partnership Office Council
Appointee, Mayor Wellington Webb’s Central Business District Council
Co-Founder, NAIOP’s Winter Classic — an annual hockey and curling event that raised over $250,000 for Children’s Hospital Colorado
In addition to real estate, James is a hockey broadcaster, providing play-by-play commentary for the USA Hockey Youth National Championships, backup duties for the University of Denver Pioneers, and a special feature for National Geographic’s Breaking Bobby Bones.
James and his wife, Jayme, have three sons and a golden retriever.
