Chris grew up on a farm in northeast Nebraska raising crops and livestock with his parents and three brothers. No stranger to hard work, he credits his work ethic to his farm upbringing. Chris’s path to the Hayden Outdoors team has been a unique one. He attended Hastings College in Hastings NE on an athletic scholarship and majored in physics. Upon graduation he earned his commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. After separating from active duty, he completed his doctorate in Nuclear Engineering and joined Los Alamos National Laboratory in northern New Mexico. During his time at the laboratory, he realized his passion was in the mentoring and development of new staff members. In pursuing his interest in the development of more effective personal interactions and the ability to help others reach their dreams, he found Hayden Outdoors–a company whose values and work ethic aligns with his.
Chris has been an avid outdoorsman since he was able to walk. He has a passion for archery elk hunting, and has an annual countdown until September. Chris also loves fishing, whether it be of the deep-sea, bait-and-tackle, or fly variety. He considers himself to be the world’s worst fly fisherman, but he loves trying. In his spare time, you can find him pursuing a wide variety of hobbies. He feels that his broad range of interests and background allows him to easily connect with clients and understand their needs.
Chris is a proud father of three and husband to the best wife in the world, with whom he shares in all his adventures, including working as a broker team. His love for the outdoors, work ethic, upbringing and commitment to helping others achieve success makes him a valuable resource to recreational, waterfront, ranch, and farming clients.
