The Hudson-Meng Research and Educational Center offers the opportunity to see a massive bison burial site with the remains of over 600 bison preserved in the mass grave. Toadstool Park is also just a stone’s throw from the ranch. It has many fascinating geologic formations and unusual rock formations. Other attractions include the Old West Trail Days PRCA Rodeo over the 4th of July, Peabody Hale Fiddle Contest as well as many other events.
The area also has excellent fishing in Box Butte Reservoir, Lake Whitney and the White River. Access to thousands of acres of public land is also available in the Ponderosa Wildlife Management Area, Soldier Creek Wilderness Area and the Oglala National Grasslands.
