Both the lake and the area offer a great place for outdoor enthusiasts, and the fishing is second-to-none. Whether your passion is ice fishing or jigging from your boat, this lake is chock full of trophy class Walleye and Northern Pike. Many locals claim that the next State Record Walleye will be caught out of this lake.
In addition to incredible fishing, Indian Springs Ranch is also one of the best managed privately-owned hunting properties in the country. Meticulous planning and attention to detail has gone into every aspect of developing this property to be the ultimate hunting & fishing destination; food plots and year-round cover abound, and the upland bird management on this property is unparalleled. The ranch boasts one of the strongest wild pheasant populations seen anywhere today.
Strong conservation practices have created the perfect habitat for trophy class whitetail. Bucks exceeding 170” have been taken off the property within the last few years! This region of South Dakota is known for producing Boone and Crockett Deer year after year. It is not uncommon to see 100+ deer a day on this ranch.
WATERFOWL HUNTING: The Prairie Pothole Region of South Dakota has long been a dream destination for waterfowler’s from around the world. Clark, South Dakota sits smack in the middle of some of the best waterfowl wing shooting in the country. Swarms of Mallards, Pintails, Widgeon, etc. can be seen feeding in the corn fields surrounding the lake, while diver ducks such as Canvasbacks, Redheads, Scaup etc. “raft” by the thousands just off the back steps of the lodge. In the Spring and Fall, Snow Geese migrate north/south stopping in the hundreds of thousands to rest before continuing. There are numerous in-ground blinds strategically placed throughout the property for your waterfowl hunting enjoyment.
LODGING: Indian Springs Ranch has a newly built lodge that features 5 bedrooms, a large bunkroom with 5 bunks, 4-1/2 baths and can sleep up to 17 people. There is a large in-floor heated shop for ATVs, gear and boat storage. There is also an additional insulated shop with room for all your tractors and food plot implements. A full line of newer food plot farming equipment, trucks, trailers, planters, UTV’s, blinds, boats, decoys, etc. can be included in the offering for an additional cost.
