Taxes for 2019 were $761.

The sellers have applied for the CRP contract to be renewed on this property and it has been accepted. The new contract would run from 10-1-2020 to 9-30-2030 and would pay $12,342/year. In order for the new CRP contract to be transferred, the buyer must purchase and close on the property after 10-1-2020.

Hunting opportunities do exist on this property as the CRP provides great cover for all types of wildlife including deer, pheasants and quail.

The Monument Rocks Landmark is located several miles west of the property. Monument Rocks or Chalk Pyramids are names of rock outcroppings, near US-83 in western Kansas. The 70 feet tall sedimentary formations of Niobrara Chalk were created by the erosion of a sea bed which formed during the Cretaceous Period. 80 million years ago, this land was the sea bed beneath the Western Interior Seaway which covered much of what is now North America. This limestone is quite soft and changes in the edges of the rock formations can be seen from year to year. The United States Department of the Interior designated Monument Rocks Natural Area as a National Natural Landmark in 1968.

This property is located 10 miles south and 10 miles west of Gove City or 30 miles southeast of Oakley, Kansas. The legal description is N/2 of S30-T14-R30. If you have any questions about this listing please give me a call today.
