John Gottfredson

John brings over 20 years of experience in real estate, entrepreneurship, private equity, and environmental planning and design. A native of Utah, John grew up riding horses, hiking and camping, and spending summers at his grandfather’s dairy. An avid off-roader, he enjoys taking his family on the many jeep trails and back roads throughout Utah. John has long felt a special pull to nature, with a desire to deepen our understanding and connection with it. This passion led him to receive training in environmental planning and landscape architecture.

As a licensed landscape architect, John has developed a specialization in master planning mountain properties and ranches, from 5-acre mountain getaways to 70,000-acre cattle ranches. This unique training and experience provides a special opportunity for his real estate clients to have a partner that will share their passion for their land, and is able to communicate what makes their property special and how it might meet the needs of potential buyers.

John has experience in private equity, and is able to understand and communicate the financial analyses that go into large investment decisions. He is also a real estate investor. John received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Utah Valley University, and completed graduate legal training at Washington and Lee School of Law. He holds a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (MLA) from Utah State University, and is a licensed landscape architect in the state of Utah. He lives with his wife, Ashley, and their five children in Alpine, Utah.
