Skip and his wife Maria hail from Hyattville, WY at the east edge of the Big Horn Basin, where they run a small hay and cattle outfit. Before he was pounding t-posts into his own ground, Skip pounded posts for many years on ranches throughout New Mexico, northern California and Wyoming. Together, Maria and Skip managed the Wyoming Nature Conservancy’s Heart Mountain Ranch and Grassbank, near Powell, WY. Skip has worked on diverse property issues including wildlife management, access, conservation easements, hunting programs and public lands grazing.
Skip maintains a commitment to land, water, and wildlife conservation paired with sustainable agricultural production. He has strong farming experience, is knowledgeable about water rights, irrigation, hay types, weed control, soils, and produces award-winning weed-free certified hay. His 25 years of construction management experience make him a great resource for developing farm and ranch infrastructure or management plans for wildlife habitat enhancement, low-stress livestock handling facilities, or high-intensity grazing systems.
When he’s not working with his clients to find them the perfect property, Skip enjoys watching his hay grow, starting a few colts, and making furniture in his woodshop.
