Being a native Texan, born in Corpus Christi, Lindy has always had a love for the diversity in nature of the place she calls home. She became a licensed realtor in 1986, while working as a Contract Administrator for a large Oil and Gas Transmission Company in Houston, Texas. After a move to the “country” in 1988, she opened a branch office in Cuero, Texas with a Broker from a nearby rural community in DeWitt County and was quickly immersed in commercial, residential and farm & ranch real estate. After her marriage to Ricky Gohmert, she convinced her ranching husband to get his real estate license, knowing that his lifetime knowledge of the land was a perfect fit. In 2003, Lindy and Ricky opened their own Brokerage company and have been top sellers in DeWitt and the surrounding counties each year since. Lindy also ran title during the Eagleford “oil boom” for many years, thereby offering valuable experience of Texas’ mineral right ownership in real estate transactions for the office.
Her love of the Texas Gulf Coast prompted her to build a second home on the Port Bolivar Peninsula across the bay from Galveston, where she will be concentrating part of her time in offering her real estate service for those who are looking for their recreational paradise on the coast.
She believes that a real estate agent should never focus on commission possibilities, but should always focus on putting forth every effort to assure a happy Seller and an equally happy Buyer in each transaction. Positive referrals are the key to real success!
