When you have grown up on a piece of land--when you have walked it, worked it and become wedded to it—you know your land better than anyone.  And when it comes time to sell that property, it is important to find exactly the right buyer.  Only a Realtor who understands your attachment to the land can provide the kind of service you require when making such an important decision.  Only a fellow farmer/rancher can understand the importance of turning your land over to someone else who can appreciate your property’s history. Preserve its uniqueness and pay you what it is worth.

I grew up on the family farm in Iowa literally following in my father’s and Grandfather’s footsteps as they tended their crops and livestock.  By the age of 9, I had sold my first pick up load of pigs and calves, and after attending South Dakota State University, I married and became a full-time farmer and rancher.  Together we raised cattle and hogs, and grew corn, soybeans, and hay to feed them.

Many years later, my life’s direction took a turn and, following a trip to Montana, I discovered that the beauty of the West and my love of the land could be combined into a career for which I was ideally suited.  I learned that my farming and ranching Experiences made me the perfect candidate for a career Real Estate.  More Particularly, I discovered that having a little dirt in my blood was a real advantage when marketing farm and ranch land, which is quite different from selling a residential home or business.  In that it requires in-depth knowledge of the land, familiarity with different agencies and county offices, solid relationships with local business owners, and most importantly, TRUST.

Over the years I have worked in western Montana as a Realtor selling the land, and I have acquired real estate licenses in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Idaho to broaden My sphere of land inventory for my clients.  My clients expect comprehensive marketing at the local, regional, and national level and high-quality service---AND They get it.

I am Kate Jones, and I’d love to sit down and discuss your real estate needs, and schedule A time to show you our complete marketing plan. I KNOW the commitment it takes to successfully run a farm or a ranch, and I am just as committed to helping you take this next important step in your life’s journey.

On a trip to Montana some years ago I fell in Love with the “Last Best Place”; changed gears and moved to the Flathead Valley. I became a Montana Realtor and started selling land and properties to others looking for the same wonderful experience I had. It became a natural fit and I love working with folks who are anxious to find just the right place to enjoy the Montana lifestyle. I am very qualified to help buyers and sellers with a smooth and pleasant real estate experience. I am proud to be part of the Hayden Outdoors Real Estate Team of Experts. I am now licensed in Montana, South Dakota, Idaho and Wyoming.
