Chad Underwood came to Hayden Outdoors with over 20 years of success in sales and marketing, much of it in the outdoor industry. During that time, Chad called on customers large and small, from Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s corporate headquarters to small town “Mom and Pop Shops.” He treated both with equal care, growing to 17 million dollars in annual sales.
Chad’s motto? Unwavering, personalized customer support. Time and again, Chad has fought for the needs of his clients, earning him multiple awards for his loyalty and persistence.
Chad learned the value of hard work and saving for your dream property from his father. A proud blue-collar worker for 46 years, his dad also found time to instill a passion for the outdoors in his only son. Chad’s deep appreciation of the land was fostered from the age of seven while hunting upland birds and whitetail deer in Kansas and turkeys in Missouri. Chad continues this tradition with his own three sons today.
Together, Chad and his dad developed long-term friendships with landowners in Missouri and Kansas, which span over three decades of hunting trips and tall tale telling.
Chad is a first-generation college graduate, earning his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Kansas State University in 1995. He was President of Alpha Omega chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity from 1993-1994, where he provided leadership for 120 rowdy college men.
Chad lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife Danielle and their three sons. They enjoy spending free time with extended family hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing Missouri river ways, hiking, and at the family lake home in Stockton, Missouri.
