Rocky Mountain Goats have been spotted along the nearby stream. The land is mostly treed, with beautiful, tall aspens and pines. Wooded and secluded, the nearby hunting is excellent. Nearby Lake Fork of the Gunnison River is a great place to find large fish and plenty of them. The river is rumored to contain twice the number of trout over fourteen inches in length needed to obtain "Gold Medal" status. Whether that's true or not, anglers will find lots of browns, rainbows and cutthroats at numerous spots along the river. The fish average between ten and sixteen inches long, but some can be twenty inches or longer.
